About WPMC2024

The 27^th International Symposium on Wireless Personal Multimedia Communications (WPMC 2024) invites researchers, scientists, engineers, and practitioners to submit their original research contributions to the symposium. The theme of this year's symposium is "Secure 6G – AI Nexus: Where Technology Meets Humanity," which emphasizes the increasing importance of secure and intelligent wireless communication systems and that 6G and AI are not just technological advancements, but also have the potential to transform the way we interact with each other and with technology.

The WPMC symposia series were inaugurated in 1998, as a global platform to enable collaboration in the field of wireless information. Held in Asia, Europe and America, WPMC has established itself as a unique global conference dedicated to wireless multimedia convergence. This year, the 27th WPMC will be held in Greater Noida (NCR-Delhi), India on November 17 – 20, 2024.

Scope

The symposium will focus on the latest advances in wireless personal multimedia communications,
including but not limited to:

• Communication Spectrum and Technologies.
• AI-Enabled Wireless Networks.
• Applications, Testbed, Use Cases and 6G Planning.
• Security, Privacy and Ethics.
• Sensor Networks and Smart Applications.
• Robotic Networking and Automation.
• Public, Private, Policy & Governance.

Menuscript Preparation Guidelines

Prospective authors are invited to submit their original contributions in the form of technical papers, poster papers, or demonstration proposals. All submissions must be written in English and must not exceed the specified page limit.

This section provides guidelines regarding menuscript with acceptable applications, layout, fonts, and graphics.

• 1. Templates: Please use Microsoft Word or LaTeX to create your document. It is strongly suggested to use the IEEE templates that incorporate the correct formatting specifications. If you decide not to use the templates, please be aware that you might incur into problems when submitting the camera ready, where strict formatting according to the Definition Table and Glossary will be enforced.

• 2. Page limit: Technical papers: maximum 5 pages, including figures and references.
• 3. Headers, footers, and page numbers: No headers, footers, or page numbers should appear on your manuscript.
• 4. Margins: Papers cannot be accepted with margins smaller than those given in the table below:

• 5. Fonts: Fonts must be either Post Script or True Type and licensed for embedding. Use of unlicensed and custom-made or hacked fonts is strictly prohibited; your submission will be rejected if it is found to contain them. Below is a list of recommended fonts:

• 6. Graphics and Images:
  1. Choose vector graphics (e.g., .eps or .pdf) over bitmap (.bmp, .png, or .jpg) images because they are electronically efficient and will not conflict with conversions to PDF.
  2. All images should be checked by printing to hardcopy if the conference will be producing a book, especially when color images in your paper will be translated to black and white in print.
  3. Resolution should be between 150 and 300 dpi or less. Resolutions greater than 300 will cause down sampling; images below 300 will not render well in print. Labels within graphics should have a type point size of 4 or higher.
  4. Smooth Graphics should not be used as it often produces extremely large files with slow loading time. The Smooth Graphics option is usually found in the Page Setup Dialog box.

Submission Guidelines:

All submissions will be peer-reviewed by three independent reviewers. Accepted papers will be eligible for presentation at the symposium and will be published in the symposium proceedings in IEEE explore. We look forward to receiving your submissions and to welcoming you to WPMC2024.

During the initial paper submission process via EDAS, it is the authors’ responsibility to ensure that the author list, sequence of authors and the paper title of the submitted pdf file is an exact match to that of given by the submitting author on the EDAS registration page. In particular, the EDAS registration page must include all co-authors, not just the submitting author. Failure to comply with this rule might result in your paper being withdrawn from the review process. Please be aware that the author list of an accepted paper can NOT be changed in the final manuscript.

All papers for the WPMC2024 will be peer-reviewed by at least two independent reviewers. Papers are reviewed on the basis that they do not contain plagiarized material and have not been submitted to any other conference at the same time (double submission). Please note that every accepted paper must be accompanied by at least one FULL registration and must be presented in the symposium.

Important IEEE Policy Announcement: The IEEE reserves the right to exclude a paper from distribution after the conference (including its removal from IEEE Explore) if the paper is not presented at the conference. Accepted, registered and presented papers will be published in the WPMC2024 proceedings and the IEEE Xplore as well as other Abstracting and Indexing (A&I) databases.
